Southern style potatoes and pork chops in one pan

Pork chops and potatoes

Southern fried potatoes and onions are a savory, comforting dish with a delightful combination of crispy, tender, and caramelized flavors. The potatoes are sliced thin, then fried to a golden-brown perfection. They have a crispy exterior with a soft, creamy interior that melts in your mouth. The onions add a subtle sweetness, enhanced by the frying process, with some pieces turning crispy while others remain tender, offering a slight bite.

The seasoning is simple—salt, pepper, and a touch of paprika, but it's the frying method that really brings the dish to life, infusing everything with a rich, slightly greasy, and deeply satisfying flavor. There's a hint of smokiness from the oil and a savory, almost buttery richness that makes each bite irresistible.

Fry 2 minutes for this thickness of chop and flip over. These are thin, boneless fast fry chops. Thicker chops will take longer to fry and will need to have the time that the potatoes are frying adjusted so they do not get over done.
